On Monday 28th March 2011, Linguapop, the language course promoter launched a new website with a host of new features that aim to improve the experience of researching and buying a course for potential students.

Linguapop has been promoting and selling language courses since 2007, primarily to students from Spain who want to study languages abroad in the countries they are spoken in. The new website is provided both in Spanish and English and is launched along with a new marketing initiative that will focus on a more international approach aiming to attract students across Europe and the Americas.

The new website provides information about the courses, accommodation and prices of language courses offered across the world. In addition, it provides photos, videos and student feedback for the promoted language schools and allows students to interact with each other via a Linguapop Facebook group. Web 2.0 content will be added continuously and will include regular news features that are relevant for students considering studying a language abroad.

At the start of March, the Spanish Ministry of Education opened up the application process where students can apply for a MEC grant to study. English, French or German in the countries they are spoken in, during the summer of 2011.

Students can get information on applying for the grants from the Ministry of Education website. The English grants are explained here, while the French and German grants are explained here.

Linguapop can help students understand what courses they can participate in with their grant. In some cases, the grant will pay for the total cost of the course, which in other cases it will cover a proportion of the fees.
